Who do we serve? Upcoming Events

Our Partner Families are low-income working families in our community. They are required to make a down-payment, contribute 500 hours of “sweat equity” and pay for their home through a 30-year, zero-interest mortgage. They come from all walks of life and through Sea Island Habitat for Humanity, will become first-time homeowners.

Sea Island Habitat also partners with the Habitat affiliates in Ghana, Africa and in Paraguay to help build homes overseas.  10% of all unrestricted donations to SIHH are “tithed” to these affiliates. Through this program, we’ve funded about 300 homes in these developing countries

We recently started building a new house design in Green Valley Lane, our first community on James Island! The new architectural plans were created by Kevin Hoertdoerfer and were designed to be visitability homes. They are also LEED certified and sustainable with regards to their construction and materials used.Green Vally Lane

A big thank you to our volunteers, donors, and staff who help to make the dream of homeownership come true for deserving families in the Lowcountry.
• Visitability -- The House Design Criteria requires that, if feasible, the homes must be visitable for persons who have difficulty with mobility.
