What You Need to Apply for Your Habitat Home
- South Carolina driver’s licence or photo ID
- Most recent tax return – for applicant and co-applicant
- Paycheck stubs, SSI statements, any other income statements
- Checking account – 2 months of statements
- Savings account - 2 months of statements
- Strong employment references
- Household income falls within Charleston County limits established by HUD (see chart to the right)
- Strong rental payment history
- Credit report history
- Background check (individuals with criminal backgrounds might be disqualified)

Application Process
The first step to Habitat Homeownership is attending one of our Homeownership Information Sessions. If you would like to share your information , we will notify you when a Homeownership Information Session is scheduled and application reopen.
